The MVYFL has teams from organizations in Spring Mills (WV), Carroll, Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland and players from Kindergarten to 8th Grade.

The goals of the League are as follows:

• To promote and organize a Youth Football Program on a basis where good sportsmanship and fair play will be practiced at all times. 
• To consider the health, welfare, and ability of each individual participant.
• To draw teams from any area approved by the Board of Directors of the Mountain Valley Youth Football League, Inc.
• To teach youngsters, through playing experience, the fundamentals of football; while at the same time, acting as a feeder system to each programs public secondary schools as defined by annually approved draw areas.
• To keep the welfare of each participant first and foremost, and to instill fair play and good sportsmanship.
